Why We Find Community is free
Bath is full of clubs and groups. Craft groups that meet at the local pub of walking groups that take you across Somerset. The problem was never that they don't exist. It's that they're scattered across old websites, closed Facebook groups, printed flyers and word of mouth, so unless you already know somebody, you never hear about them.
We Find Community puts them in one place, with the same details in the same order every time, so you can look once and find something that fits your week.
Why regular meet ups matters
Something repeating in the diary does more for loneliness than an occasional big night out. Turning up to the same room week after week is how acquaintances quietly become friends, you don't have to be good at small talk, you just have to keep showing up.
What we put our foot down on
- Free for people looking for a group, and free for groups to be listed.
- Every group is described the same way, age range, area of Bath, cost, and whether beginners are welcome, so nothing hides behind vague wording.
- No account needed to browse. We're not building a social network; we're helping you find real connections.
Who's behind it
Hi, I'm Georgia. I'm building this because I moved to Bath after graduating and really found it difficult to find groups to join. I knew they were out there, but I just couldn't find them, so I wanted to build something to change that. That's where We Find Community comes in.
Every one of the 11 groups listed so far was checked or sent in by the person who runs it.
